Crakehall Watermill Holiday Cottages – Booking Terms & Conditions 2017
Thank you for choosing to book a cottage at Crakehall Watermill. We look forward to welcoming you. When you make this booking you are entering an agreement with us.
Please read the following terms and conditions of booking.
The price includes linen, towels, hot water, heating and electricity.
Cancellation & Insurance
Once you have booked your holiday, our agreement is a legal contract and your deposit is non-refundable. If for whatever reason you cannot take your holiday and the booking cannot be re-let, you are still liable to pay for the booking in full, even if we have not yet received your balance. If we do succeed in re-letting the booking, you are no longer liable for the balance, or we will refund it to you if you have already paid it. Please note that your deposit is not refundable under any circumstances. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you take out cancellation insurance, which is inexpensive and can be obtained from any good broker.
Non Availability of Accommodation
We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control, and we would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation. However, if this were not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Your accommodation will be available to you from 4pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. Please do not arrive earlier as we will be busy preparing your accommodation and will not be available to welcome you.
Please be ready to leave the accommodation by 10am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged. Please leave the accommodation clean and tidy. We reserve the right to make a charge if the cottage is left in an unacceptable condition.
Care of our Cottages
Please take care while staying in our accommodation. We ask that you treat the cottage with respect and leave it clean and tidy. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may charge you for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant.
Smoking or vaping are not allowed in the cottages. For the benefit of future guests, a deep cleaning charge of £150 will be levied should traces be evident in the cottage following your stay.
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
Any data collected during the course of this booking may be kept on computer.
For all bookings we require a deposit by cheque, payable to ‘L Green & A Barnes’, or debit/credit card of £100 for Watermill Cottage and Watermill Croft and £150 for Miller’s Retreat when you make the reservation to confirm the booking. We will send you an email or letter confirming receipt of the deposit. The balance must then be paid at least six weeks before the start of the holiday. We do make a charge of 2% of the balance if it is paid by credit card. For holidays which are to take place within six weeks of making the booking, the full amount is due on booking.
Sorry, but pets are not permitted in Watermill Croft Cottage or Miller’s Retreat. One well-behaved small/medium sized dog is permitted in Watermill Cottage – please advise at time of booking.
We look forward to welcoming you to Crakehall Watermill Cottages and do hope that you will enjoy your stay.
