Crakehall Watermill Holiday Cottages – Booking Terms & Conditions 2024

Thank you for choosing to book a cottage at Crakehall Watermill. We look forward to welcoming you. When you make this booking you are entering an agreement with us.
Please read the following terms and conditions of booking.

Prices:  The price of the accommodation includes the following: linen, towels, heating & electricity.

Cancellation & Insurance:  Once you have booked your holiday, our agreement is a legal contract and your deposit is non-refundable unless a holiday cannot happen due to a legally enforceable restriction when the option of a full refund of all monies paid will be offered. If for whatever other reason you cannot take your holiday and the booking cannot be re-let, you are still liable to pay for the booking in full, even if we have not yet received your balance.  If we do succeed in re-letting the booking we will adjust your balance based on the re-letting price.

We recommend you take out holiday cancellation insurance.

Non Availability of Accommodation:  We would only cancel your holiday if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control.  We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation or an alternative date. However if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for the holiday.  Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

Arrival & Departure:  Your accommodation will be available to you from 4pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged.  Please do not arrive earlier as we will still be busy preparing your accommodation and will not be available to welcome you. Please be ready to leave the accommodation by 10am.  Please leave the accommodation clean and tidy.

Care of our Cottages:  Please take care with our property.  We ask that you treat the cottage with respect and leave it clean and tidy. We reserve the right to make a charge if the cottage is left in an unacceptable condition.  You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents.  Please report these as soon as they occur.  We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may charge you for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant.

Smoking Policy:  Smoking or vaping are not allowed in the cottages.  For the benefit of future guests a deep cleaning charge of £150 will be levied should traces of tobacco be evident in the cottage following your stay.

Number of Guests: The total number in your party must not exceed the capacity of the accommodation. Miller’s Retreat sleeps 6, Watermill Croft sleeps 2. The Owner has the right to terminate the holiday of anyone exceeding these limitations at any time during the holiday.

Liability:  We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.

Data:  Any data collected during the course of this booking may be kept on computer.
